WWRT are pleased to announce that we have received a £9700 grant from The National Lottery Community Fund for our ‘Rivers for Communities’ project, which will enable us to spend more time providing advice and identifying improvement opportunities for concerned groups of river users and residents across West Wales!

This funding has already enabled us to attend multiple discussion and advisory groups on topics including fisheries habitat, river restoration, river water quality and the contributions of river pollution bathing water quality.

We will be meeting with several more water users over Winter to discuss river health and opportunities for improvements, either delivered by volunteers or by communicating with the relevant authorities. We will also be meeting with a number of angling clubs to discuss their priorities for improvements to their waters so that we can put future plans together. We welcome any local groups of angling clubs who would like to meet to discuss partnership opportunities.

This project is kindly supported by The National Lottery Community Fund.
