On Wednesday 8th February 2023, the CEO of Afonydd Cymru, the umbrella organisation which represents the Welsh Rivers Trusts, was invited to represent Wales at the Welsh Affairs Committee to examine impact of sewage discharges and other water quality issues.

Gail’s fundamental point was that every organisation has their part to play, from UK Government, MP, Welsh Government, Senedd member, water company, Ofwat and Natural Resources Wales.

But, we are long past talking about it. Our rivers are dying, we are losing designated species and habitat on a daily basis and it is time to take a giant leap forward.
