Research

We work with a range of people, community groups, statutory bodies and technical specialists to deliver projects bringing environmental benefits to society.

Everything we do is underpinned by scientific data and evidence, and we provide fully costed, and cost effective, catchment management strategies to achieve positive outcomes for our water environments. Most importantly, we attain improvement by collaborating with communities to understand their invaluable local knowledge.

We specialise in on-the-ground investigations to understand catchment health. This includes fisheries habitat restoration surveys, having walked and mapped issues and opportunities along the length of all of our major rivers, sediment run-off surveys, invasive non-native species investigations and Natural Flood Management surveys.

In addition, we have experience in using a number of water quality modelling tools to back up ground investigations, including the UK water industry’s Source Apportionment GIS (SAGIS) tool, SCIMAP sediment risk model and the ADAS Farmscoper Tool.
