  • Invasive Species Workshop at Haverfordwest

A large factor deteriorating the health of our rivers is the presence of Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS), mainly Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed. The presence of these plants can be detrimental to our native species; with their ability to rapidly spread and grow they easily drown out suitable areas for other species to inhabit. The removal of INNS is a goal within our 'Adopt a Tributary Project' in which we need your help.
This training workshop will be taught by Matt Tebbutt, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park’s Invasive Species Officer. The event will kick off a season of practical removal sessions across Pembrokeshire to improve the health of our rivers.
Should you wish to attend this event, please email Emma, emma@westwalesriverstrust.org with your name, number attending and contact details.
We look forward to seeing you there!
