Churchland Farm

Spittal Brook (Western Cleddau catchment)

In conjunction with the landowner, The Countryside Council For Wales and Environment Agency Wales, we have removed a large rock blockage from the Spittal Brook at Churchland Farm.

This was put in approx 30-35 years ago to supply drinking water to 3 fields. We have therefore put in an alternative water supply, involving the construction of a reservoir further up the hill and pipework to transfer that water to the original holding tank.

This was a very complex and technical project which has suprassed our expectations for its success.

The Cleddau Trail Map

The Pembrokeshire Rivers Trust Cleddau Trail takes you on two 'Source to Sea' river journeys. Follow the Western Cleddau Trail to discover unspoilt natural habitats, home to migratory salmon and sewin, kingfishers and other wildlife. The Eastern Cleddau Trail follows the flow of Pembrokeshire's rainwater as it becomes drinking water.
